1.    Q: How many teams does the Fargo/Moorhead men's fastpitch league currently have?

        A: We have roughly 16 teams ranging from class A to C.  Goal of this year is to increase teams in Fargo..

2.    Q: How far are the base paths?

        A: 60 feet, so you not only get to enjoy the same rules of baseball, you do not have to run as far.

3.    Q: What are the average dimensions of the fields?

       A: Roughly 235 down the lines and 250 to the power allies.  This can vary depending on the height of the outfield fence.

4.    Q: Does the Fargo park district run the league?

       A: No, all administration and scheduling is performed by the Fastpitch board.  The board consists of players and managers that have been elected to represent the Fargo/Moorhead Fastpitch area.

5.    Q: Why should a play Fastpitch when I can currently play Slowpitch?

        A: This question is asked all the time by potential Fastpitch players.  For an existing Fastpitch players this is an easy answer, competition.  But I will attempt to break down some advantages.

• Adrenaline rush, ask yourself this, when is the last time you stepped up to the plate and felt an adrenaline rush.  Nothing will beat the feeling when you hit a ball solid off a pitcher that is throwing well.  An example: 1 to 1 game, seventh inning, teammate on 2nd.  You are currently 0 for 3 with two K's against the other team's number one pitcher.  You step up and line a shot into the gap, game over.  That is the definition of an adrenaline rush.
• When is the last time you hit a ball out of the yard and you felt you had beat the pitcher at his best pitch?
• Beating out a drag bunt.
• Stealing second
